WE ARE CHILDFREE

COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

We are a community for people who are childfree by choice, circumstance or just curious, to learn and connect with one another. This is a safe space to ask questions, share experiences and find support. You are welcome here, no matter where you are on your childfree journey.

WE ARE INCLUSIVE

The childfree journey looks different for everyone and we are here for it all! It doesn’t matter how you got here, where you see life taking you or how you identify. This community is for anyone who’s embracing a childfree life, so if you feel like you need this space, it’s yours.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

Forget what you might have seen in other corners of the childfree internet - this is a judgment-free zone. We believe in everyone’s right to choose what they do with their life, and provide a safe space for compassionate conversations and conscious choices. Be kind, empathetic and respectful of everyone.

A SAFE SPACE

This is a safe place to share. We encourage everyone to be authentic, open, vulnerable - and mindful of each other’s privacy. Because a lot of our discussions are sensitive in nature, what is shared in the We are Childfree community stays here.

YOU GET WHAT YOU GIVE

The more you engage and participate, the more you will receive from the community in return. Give space for others to share their thoughts, ideas, feedback and questions - encourage one another to use your voices.

NOT A DATING SITE

The We are Childfree community is not a dating site. This is a space to find friends, not romantic partners, and we won't tolerate any behaviour that makes our members feel unsafe or unable to be their full, free selves. If you're looking for love, please look elsewhere.

EXPECT THE BEST

We treat others how we’d want to be treated and always strive to assume the best of our fellow We are Childfree community members. Let’s take care of each other, and create the kind of community we want and need, together.

If you believe that a member is in violation of these community guidelines, please reach out to our support buddy James Glazebrook via DM or email.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for hate and bigotry and reserve the right to remove any content or members for violating our community guidelines at any time. If a member is found to promote any form of hatred, violence, or harassment, or to be in conflict with the community guidelines, they will be approached by a We are Childfree representative and asked to follow up with recognition of the consequences of their behaviour, appropriate conciliatory actions, and clear behavioural changes. This will be the first warning. If the member fails to do any of the above, or receives a second warning, they will be removed from the community.
