WE ARE CHILDFREE

I am pretty far along on my childfree journey. I’m married to an incredible childfree man and am so lucky to have him on this journey with me.

I am childfree by choice and have been since forever! I was incredibly lucky to be exposed to the choice from an early age and I just always knew children weren’t for me even when I was still quite young.

So many things factor into it, the environment, freedom to live however I want, being able to travel and uproot my life spontaneously, having time, more money. I always knew I didn’t want kids but each year my decision is solidified more and more with climate change and the general state of the world.

This decision has allowed me to pursue my own interests! I have 2 degrees in the field of exercise science and have been able to start my own business — in photography. A completely different area to my education! I’ve also spent the last few years writing a fantasy novel. I don’t think I’d have been able to dedicate so much time, love and care into these projects if I’d had kids. I love writing, it’s my escape from the world. The final straw for me deciding to write my own books was that I was utterly fed up with the lack of childfree representation. So the majority of my characters are also childfree!
