WE ARE CHILDFREE

I am a 47 year old male, and after two relationships I am firmly childfree and in support of those that want to live the same way. I didn’t always know that I didn’t want to have my own children until after a difficult breakup a few years back over the issue.

For me, I just didn’t want the responsibility, and am unwilling to sacrifice my personal time and freedom to be a parent. It never appealed to me and I had some shame and difficulty admitting this out loud because of expectations and shame from family pressure.

Now I do know what I do and don’t want, I live how I want and my time is my own. I am 100% childfree by choice and 1,000% in support of women who want to live the same way.

I was circling filling this form out for a while, but I think it’s finally time to come out in full support for women that are struggling with this same issue. As a man, I think we have it easier if we decide not to have children. Nonetheless men can fully support women in their journey of living their truths, especially if it prevents marginalization of women for their choices. Which is complete and utter horseshit.
