“It was a good decision for me and I feel I have many fewer worries and heartaches this way.”
At 71, I have been committed to living childfree for a long time.
I made the decision when I was 13 and have done all in my power to remain childless, as did my husband of 33 years.
Many of my friends are grandparents or great-grandparents. Most of them love this stage, but too many mourn the troubles and life decisions that their families have made.
I live alone in a senior community and enjoy friendships with other seniors, both childfree and not.
It was a good decision for me and I feel I have many fewer worries and heartaches this way.
