“I worry that when I’m finally approved, it will be because I have cancer.”
I’ve been wanting a hysterectomy for nearly 10 years.
Every time I bring it up with a doctor I get told that I might change my mind someday, that my husband might want kids.
I’m asexual and have such a long family history of cancer and tumors. There is nobody that my family can think of that has not had something go wrong. My cousin was younger than I am now when she needed a hysterectomy.
I worry that by the time I’m finally approved for a hysterectomy, it will be because I have cancer.
