“It’s been ten years since getting my tubes tied, and I’ve never been happier.”

Rae, 37, USA

I have never wanted children, even when I was too young to really grasp what those feelings meant.

Severe health problems solidified that choice when I was a teenager.

It still took 5 years of me actively trying to get my tubes tied. I finally found a physician to do the surgery when I was 27. This year will be ten years, and I’ve never been happier.

My partner and I have successful careers, relationships with people of all ages, I race long distance triathlons, and we take hiking trips all over.

My health, my life, and my relationships are all overwhelmingly better for me being allowed to take control of my reproductive choices and be childfree.
