“If caring for and giving to my friends, family, finances, husband and community are selfish, I don’t want to be selfless.”
I’ve known since I was 9 that I didn’t want children.
Even now, when I’m 27, married… children would only hinder my choices.
I work full-time, take care of business, spend every moment with my husband, and get to travel. Why would I change anything?
My husband is so supportive of my thoughts and concerns, he understands that children are would make fewer options for me, for us.
Growing up in the “Bible Belt” taught me I had one option, but being childfree gives me many.
My friends and family want to see a “mini me”, but that’s kind of selfish of them to not be satisfied with me.
If caring for and giving to my friends, family, finances, husband and community are selfish, I don’t want to be selfless.
