I had a painful divorce in my early 30s and am now married to a wonderful man who is 20 years older than me but my absolute soulmate.
He has two grown up children and I was on the fence about kids for a long time until I realised that I loved our life exactly as it was, with our two rescue dogs Bonnie and Clive and my grown up step children we live a full and colourful life of laughter, love and lunacy!
I work with a company training anti-poaching dogs to be deployed to Africa to stop rhino poaching and I was lucky enough to go out to Zulu Land this summer to be on the front lines of anti-poaching.
My love and passion for conservation and animals fulfils me more than anything I have ever done in my life, mixed with my husband’s writing career which often takes him to India we live a varied and exciting life together which I could never see working with kids.
